The ground floor of this home in the Wimbledon has been replanned and fully refurbished to create new family areas from previously underutilised spaces.
The house included a large existing rear extension, a quarter of which had become a dark, disused space. A long strip window was added and the kitchen was relocated, creating an open plan family kitchen / living / dining area, as well as a separate, cosy living space better suiting the family’s needs.
The layout of the remainder of the ground floor was reorganised to eliminate excess circulation and to add a large utility room with glazed doors.
